Born in Agawam, Massachusetts, Ms. Jenkins joined South College as an adjunct professor in 2001. She became a full-time professor in 2002 and took over the chair position in 2003. In 2010, she was named Dean of the School of Legal Studies. Ms. Jenkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of New Hampshire in 1994. In 1999, Ms. Jenkins earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Jenkins was a member of the Tennessee Law Review.
Ms. Jenkins has practiced law in various settings, including Stone & Hinds, P.C. and the Jenkins Law Firm, P.C. Her practice has focused in civil litigation and domestic relations. Ms. Jenkins is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Knoxville Bar Association’s Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.
