Dr. Barnette recently completed a two-year Pharmacotherapy Specialty Resident at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where she was appointed as an Assistant Clinical Instructor and precepted pharmacy students in their 3rd and 4th professional year. She graduated with honors at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She served as the Chair and Chair-Elect in her 3rd and 4th professional year for American College of Clinical Pharmacy for the Student Advisory Committee. She was also extensively involved in American Pharmacists Association/ Academy of Student Pharmacists promoting heart health. Current research interests are pediatric neurology and antibiotic taste preferences and ethnicities in children. Dr. Barnette’s practice site will be in the emergency department at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (ETCH), where she can continue to engaged in her practice interests including pediatrics, emergency medicine and neurology.
