Dr. Bottorff has held faculty positions at 4 schools of pharmacy spanning a period of almost 30 years. He has practice, teaching and research expertise in the area of cardiovascular therapeutics, and has been recognized for his expertise by achieving fellow status in both the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the National Lipid Association. He is a board certified lipid specialist and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Lipidology. Dr. Bottorff has over 70 peer-reviewed publications in the pharmacy and medical literature and has given over 1000 national and international invited presentations. Dr. Bottorff has served as chair of the National Pharmacy Cardiovascular Council and was an American Heart Association Spotlight Series speaker in 2009 and 2010. He has received teaching awards at his previous academic institutions.
