Help Resources & Information
South College uses a variety of online systems from e-mail to online learning applications. Listed below are some of the key systems in use at South College, some information regarding their use, and how to get help should you have any issues.
Help Desk
The South College Help Desk is the main point of contact for students that require IT assistance at the college. For detailed instructions on how to use the Help Desk refer to the Student Help Desk Guide. The Help Desk is accessible using your Student Portal login and password. If you are unable to log in to the Help Desk, please contact us by sending an e-mail to support@southcollegetn.edu
Live@edu (E-mail, Skydrive, etc.)
South College uses Windows Live@edu hosted by Microsoft. During orientation, you are given a "Live ID", which is your e-mail address. If you are unable to log in to your student e-mail, please create a Help Desk ticket. For more information about your Live@Edu account and features, please see the Live@edu FAQ.
Portal
The Student Portal is accessible using the login and password you setup during orientation. If you have issues accessing the Student Portal, please send an e-mail to support@southcollegetn.edu
Moodle
Moodle is only accessible via a link inside the Student Portal and does not require a username or password. Moodle user guides and detailed how-to information can be found within the Student Portal, in the Student Tech Help section. Please create a Help Desk ticket for Moodle related issues.
Papercut / Printing
Papercut is the print management system used to pay to print and photocopy at South College. If you have questions about how to activate your print/copy card or request a refund, please see the Student Printing Information page. If you have trouble accessing your print account, please created a Help Desk ticket in the Student Help Desk.
Other Technology Issues
For Computer Lab, laptop, and other on-site technology issues, please use the Help Desk and create a support ticket for assistance.
