Mindy Goldberg

MPH, PA-C

Mindy Goldberg is the Director of Academic Services for the School of PA Studies at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has over eight years of experience as an educator. She has worked as a clinical coordinator for the Rutgers/UMDNJ Physician Assistant program in Piscataway, New Jersey, where she taught psychiatry, physical examination, medical interviewing, human development, and professionalism. She served as a clinical instructor for the Center for Disease Control’s Sexually Transmitted Diseases program in Baltimore, Maryland. At Pellissippi State Technical Community College, she taught both Medical Terminology and Word/Excel/PowerPoint. She was one of the first adjunct faculty there to teach a web course.

Ms. Goldberg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and a Masters in Public Health degree from Loma Linda University. She graduated from the University of California Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program. Her pre-medical coursework was done at Eastern Michigan University. She also completed post-Master’s coursework at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health focusing on maternal and child health.

She has a variety of clinical experiences as a physician assistant including family medicine, women’s health, infections diseases, occupational medicine, and sleep medicine. Her background also includes clinical research experience in sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS clinical trials. The protocols for the Refugee Clinic for the East Tennessee Health Department were written by her, and she ran the clinic as well. She was a volunteer clinician at Interfaith Clinic in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Ms. Goldberg is nationally board certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed in the State of Tennessee.
