As Core faculty Dr. Ball is involved in didactic and clinical instruction of first and second year PA students. Dr. Ball teaches key components of several courses in the first year of the program which include: Health Assessment and Physical Examination, Clinical Assessment and Management 1-3 and Emergency Medicine. He is also involved in the End of Rotation instruction of PA students, as well as development and assessment of clinical sites and clinical site visits of PA students during the clinical year.

Experience:

Served in the U.S. Air Force as a Medic during the latter years of the Vietnam War. Physician Assistant in Psychiatry, inner-city primary care, Surgical Physician Assistant in Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Ophthalmology; Physician Assistant Public Health, Primary Care and Emergency Medicine internationally in the South Pacific, Egypt, Kuwait ( Regional Health Care Coordinator) and Iraq; over twenty years in Emergency Medicine domestically and has been either part-time or fulltime faculty in several PA programs.

Professional Education:

Dr. Ball graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Doctor of Health Science degree and Tulane University School of Public Health with a MPH degree in international health and epidemiology. He earned his B.S. and Physician Assistant degrees from Mercy College of Detroit.
