Criminal background checks are becoming mandatory at medical institutions as a requirement for JCAHO. In order to ensure patient safety and security, South College will require students to go through a criminal background check prior to that applicant being admitted. Applicants should be aware that a prior criminal background might restrict the individual’s ability to obtain professional state licensure. Acceptance into a South College program does not imply or guarantee that a student will be able to obtain such licensure.
