Dr. Chikhale has 20 years of experience as a pharmaceutical scientist and pharmacy educator. His research areas include Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Drug Delivery Systems, Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry and Preformulation/Formulation. Dr. Chikhale has contributed significantly, to starting-new pharmacy schools/programs, particularly PharmD, MS and PhD and to Pharmacy Curriculum Development and Assessment. He has performed and supervised work of technical, professional and non-professional staff in pharmaceutical industrial contracts and clinical batch manufacturing of solid oral dosage forms using FDA-approved, cGMP facilities. Dr. Chikhale has published in several reputable journals and he has organized scientific meetings and served as Chair of scientific/professional Committees. Dr. Chikhale has been active in securing original, independent, research funding from the National Institutes of Health, American Cancer Society, Pharmaceutical Industries, Universities, Pharmacy-Professional Organizations, including Scholarships/Fellowships.
