Mr. Gary Cooper

Faculty, Anatomy and Physiology I & II

Born in 1958 in Nashville, TN, Mr. Gary Cooper joined South College as an adjunct in March 2006. He became a full time faculty in June 2007. Mr. Cooper graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Master’s degree in Reproductive Physiology in 1986.

After graduation, Mr. Gary Cooper owned and operated Topline A.I. Service, Inc., an agricultural genetic distribution company. Mr. Cooper served as company president responsible for sales, accounts receivable, inventory control, personnel management, and client and staff education. He taught biology and anatomy and physiology at Walter State Community College and Pellissippi State Technical Community College. Mr. Cooper brings in 22 years of teaching, training and management experience to his classroom.

Mr. Cooper maintains memberships in the National Science Teachers Association, and the Tennessee Science Teachers Association. He is also a member of several committees at South College and was presented with the Distinguished Teaching Award for 2008 for his outstanding classroom effectiveness, professionalism and dedication. He was also awarded the top sales award from Landmark Genetics, Federated Genetics and Semex USA while serving as President of Topline A.I. Service, Inc.
