The craft brew industry is rapidly growing in the United States. According to the Brewers Association, craft beer sales were up 17.6 percent in 2014, compared to import beer sales growth of just 6.9 percent.
“Industry growth is occurring in all regions and stemming from a mix of sources including various retail settings and a variety of unique brewery business models,” said Bart Watson, chief economist of the Brewers Association. In an article for CNBC, he reported that the volume of craft beer production in the United States rose 16 percent from January 2015 to June 2015.
