Today, South College-Asheville opens enrollment for students seeking an Associate of Science degree in health science.
The program is designed for completion by full-time students in seven quarters by earning 98 quarter credit hours. Students of the health science program will complete a curriculum of general education courses, as well as foundational courses in anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, nutrition, pathophysiology and physics.
Additionally, it provides a degree path for practicing healthcare professionals, such as diploma nurse, surgical technologist, paramedic, pharmacy technician and medical office professional. Upon completion of the associate degree, students may choose to continue their education to the baccalaureate level in a specialized health professional area or pursue entry-level healthcare positions.
