Are you interested in beginning a career in the paralegal field? A career in law can be fast-paced and exciting. Paralegals work at a law office, corporation, governmental agency or other organizations and help attorneys with legal work.
We are excited to announce our brand-new Certificate in Paralegal Studies programs at both Knoxville and Asheville. The program will consist of a nine-month curriculum in Asheville and twelve-month curriculum in Knoxville. It will provide students with a strong foundation regarding the paralegal field. Applicants must have previously earned a bachelor degree or associate of science degree from an accredited postsecondary institution and held a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
We recently spoke with Stephen A. South, president and founder of South College, about the new Paralegal Studies program.
“Paralegals play a crucial role in helping attorneys meet client needs,” said South. “This program is designed to provide students with the quality, legal assistant education required to start their career as a paralegal.”
Our new certification program has been approved by the American Bar Association and will provide students with essential skills, like legal drafting and research. The program is perfect for students who are considering a new career path or would like to broaden their legal knowledge.
The paralegal program will be available at the Knoxville and Asheville campuses starting in June. If you would like to learn more about the Certificate in Paralegal Studies, click here.
